Exclusion zones can be used to mark out high-risk areas, cultural heritage sites, or environmentally sensitive areas. SMART can be configured to automatically trigger alerts and send notifications when devices enter an Exclusion Zone.
SMART uses 3 types of zones (Work Zones, Exclusion Zones and Alert Zones).
Understanding Zones #
Workzones #
Designate areas where specific work tasks occur. Can be linked to schedules for productivity insights.
Exclusion Zones #
High-risk areas where devices should not enter. Used for triggering breach alerts.
Alert Zones (SOS Zones) #
Locations that escalate an SOS alert if triggered from within the zone.
📘 Tip: Use clear zone names and document zone purposes in descriptions for traceability
